Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is now at a touching distance of his two summer targets, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic after Real coach Zinedine Zidane admitted he cannot guarantee that the Welshman will remain at the Bernabeu this summer.
This goes to fuel speculation that Real are on the brink of signing Monaco sensation, Kylian Mpappe. It is expected that Bale would exit once the deal happens.
It has also emerged that Inter are now willing to part ways with Croatian midfielder, Perisic after the club said they cannot keep him against his will.
Inter boss Luciano Spalletti says he wants the Croatia international to stay but the situation may be out of his control.
“I want to keep him but we must consider the opinion of the club and player,” he said.
According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Spalletti’s comments mean Perisic is almost certain to join the Red Devils this summer.
“Perisic even closer to Manchester United after Inter manager saying that he has to deal with the will of the player and the club,” Palmeri tweeted.
Mourinho had said he still wanted another midfielder and a wide player to boost his squad and give him some options.
The Red Devils had tabledset a £44million take-it or leave-it bid for Perisic, which seemed not to have impressed the Italian club.
